Biography

Philip has published over 300 scientific articles and is designated a “Highly Cited Researcher in Plant and Animal Science” by Clarivate Analytics.

He is a member of the International Council on Plant Nutrition and sits on the Scientific Advisory Committees of the Center for Fertilization and Plant Nutrition (Israel) and The International Magnesium Institute (China).

He leads a research group at The James Hutton Institute, engaged on projects related to plant mineral nutrition: optimising fertiliser applications, biofortifying crops with mineral elements essential for human and animal nutrition, and preventing toxic elements from entering the food chain.
